I have a Bachelor of Nutrition with a speciality in Sports and Exercise Nutrition, which I completed at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
You know how everyday people struggle to navigate the complex world of nutrition and make informed choices about what to eat, often feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from their own bodies? I was no different.
At age 44, I realised it was time to live my purpose, helping others while enjoying the journey. That’s when I embarked on my university studies in nutrition, driven by a desire to understand more about the food I was eating and why.
This area of study deepened my understanding of tailoring nutrition plans for not only regular gym-goers, sporting enthusiasts, and individuals leading active lifestyles but also anyone looking to improve their overall well-being.
It enhanced my ability to provide comprehensive guidance to my clients, helping them achieve optimal energy and health on their nutrition journeys.
With a clear purpose to offer nutrition strategies to everyone, I aim to ensure you feel comfortable in your skin and get the most out of your body for its daily demands, no matter your activity level.
This photo was taken a week before my 40th birthday almost 10 years ago. I was working in banking and finance, a career I had been in for the past 20 years, except for a brief period when I owned and operated my own café and catering business.
Despite this, I still had no real idea about food and nutrition. I was often confused about what I should be eating and struggled to make sense of all the conflicting advice out there. What I did have, however, was a fantastic personal trainer and nutritionist who were both instrumental in getting me on this stage. I believe it was then that the idea started forming to learn more about food and nutrition for myself.
Until my mid-30s, I had never been a full-time exerciser, and I certainly didn’t know much about food and nutrition. This journey of confusion and discovery is what drives me to help others navigate their own nutrition journeys and achieve their health goals.
